Thank God For Grace!

Amazing Grace How Sweet The Sound…..

It’s a song that almost every one knows and can sing. Why is that? There is something about that grace. Although it’s true existence may seem foreign to some, the reality is this…It’s there anyway! Titus 2:11 “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,”

My husband preaches that Grace is like a car riding along side of you, opening the door and inviting you in. You decide… will I get into the car and allow grace to carry me on this journey? Or, will I try to do it on my own. Grace is still there. I just have to choose to partake of its riches.

I’m thankful for the day over 26 years ago that Grace pulled up beside me and invited me in. I was on a road headed for Hell….

I was born a sinner. Romans 5:12 “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”

I had a debt that I could not pay. Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Grace told me of the One who loved me anyway. Romans 5:8 “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

In my sinful, helpless state there was hope. All I need do was get in-Admit I was a sinner and trust that Jesus paid the price for my sin. I didn’t have to flag grace down. I didn’t have to open the door. It was there all along inviting me in. All I had to do was get in. Romans 10:9-10,13 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation….For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”

I Got In!!! September 17, 1996 on a Tuesday night of Revival, I, Shannon Moody became a passenger of Grace.

Grace…. Grace… God’s Grace! God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense-All just for me!

Grace that precious gift! It’s All Mine!!!!

Grace changed my direction.

Grace changed me-my heart, my attitude, my desires, my love-my everything.

Grace has never left me. It has been there all along.

Grace has carried me through many valleys, over mountains, through deserts.

Grace has weathered storms, shielded me from the elements of the burning sun, the freezing cold.

Grace has taken the brunt of the attacks of the enemy. It’s my refuge.

Grace has protected me from things I have no idea were coming my way.

Grace comforts me when I am hurting.

Grace gives me a reason to sing.

Grace turns my eyes upon Jesus.

Grace is always there.

Grace is and will forever be amazing.
