How’s your joy?

Are you lacking in the joy department? I’m not talking about temporal happiness, as the world would define it. The world finds its happiness in things, people, and situations. The world would have you believe if you don’t have things, you cannot be happy.

Time and again the Bible tells us if we are a Christian, a true child of God, we WILL have joy. Joy comes from God, it is a gift from above. Joy dwells within us, and does not depend on circumstance. We can have joy even in the midst of trials. Joy can even be found within a Christian who has tears in their eyes.

Perhaps today’s joy comes in the form of peace. Knowing that God has everything under control. Perhaps we stir up our joy by remembering what God has done for us in the past. However you need to stir it up, and activate that joy inside you, I pray you find joy in your day today. I pray you know the Father of joy, the author of peace, and the maker of love.

Psalm 5:11 (KJV)

Psalm 51:12 (KJV)
Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.

John 16:20 (KJV)
Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

Acts 2:28 (KJV)
