The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children’s children will I plead.
Jeremiah 2:8-9
I found these verses so encouraging. Do you realize, no matter what we do, and who we are, God loves us anyway, and still has a desire that we turn to Him? He wants to save us, so we can live eternally in heaven with him when we die.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
Even if we turn away from him, or choose to disbelieve. Even when we fail, he STILL makes a way for us and our children and grandchildren –whosoever– to come to Him.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:9
I don’t know about you, but today I am thankful that he was patient with me, waiting for me to understand. I’m thankful for those who shared the Bible with me. And I’m thankful that he loves me so much. Because of that, I and my family now have a future in heaven for sure!
