Have you ever noticed how people who live a “rough” lifestyle seem to age faster than those who live a “clean” lifestyle? There is something to this. It is a proven fact that when you take care of your body, you feel better and are able to do more. When you put toxins and unhealthy things into your body, you get unhealthy out. It’s the age old (and Biblical) principle of reaping what you sow.
In this day and age of everyone worrying and stressing over their health, I thought I would help shed some light on one thing that may help you feel better physically. This one “vitamin” can be rest to your bones, soundness in your flesh, and health to your navel. It’s the “B” vitamin! The Bible. Get a good dose of God’s word each morning. It will give you strength for the day, and a positive, uplifting thought concept with which to face the battles that so easily come your way. Stay right with God. Live as “sinless” as possible. Confess, repent and ask forgiveness from God when you make poor choices. Read Psalms 38 to see how sins affect your physical body.
It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
Proverbs 3:8
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Proverbs 4:20-22
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they [are] life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
Sometimes scripture is a hard pill to swallow! We get upset when we hear preaching or read something that goes against our fleshly desires. But if it is in God’s word, it is profitable for us! Pray and ask God to help you in that area of your life.
All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2 Timothy 3:16
